122. Road-Road

Noel Redding som bland annat lirade med Jimi Hendrix leker Hendrix på Roads enda platta som släpptes 1972. Road är ett band från Los Angeles, USA som älskar att smälta ansikten med deras fuzziga och jammiga heavy psych. Smaka bara på den avslutande niominuters-låten Road, från albumet med samma namn. 

"his is phenomenal. Beginning-to-end. And it's a crime Road isn't a household name. A lot of heavy psych is in a similar flavor and how you rate it likely depends on the musicians' shredding ability. By that metric, this should be at the top of your list. Noel Redding is on bass (and you already know about his virtuosity), the guitarist played in Rare Earth and is especially noteworthy here, the vocals are among the best I've heard in the genre." -echandl2

123. Nobody's Children-Good Times

Psykedeliskt garageband från Irving, Texas USA. Släppte en singel 1968. B-sidan heter Somebody to Help Me. Allen Schram och Ray Schram skrev låten. Har figurerat på diverse coola comps, bland annat på Brown Acid-serierna (Seventh Trip). 

"I'd put "Good Times" high up in a list among other notable 1960s proto-punk tracks -- three minutes of fuzz and snarl and bitterness; you'll sit up and take notice." -VALIS666

124. Listening-Stoned In

Listening från Boston, USA släppte 1968 debutalbumet med samma namn. Stoned In är knarkig psych i jazzig bossanovagryta. Smakbryt!

125. Stone Axe-Slave of Fear

Houston, Texas USA. Pete Bailey som sjöng i Josefus sköter det vokala även här. Vi bjuds på en fuzzig, doom och stonerrockkanon. Singeln släpptes 1971. 

"Stoned, underground sound with blistering, wah-wah lead guitars. The production is so-so. A mix of Black Sabbath, early Pentagram, Josefus and Mountain." -roquecolor

126. Thunder And Roses-Dear Dream Maker

Thunder and Roses från Philadelphia, USA är Jimi Hendrix och Cream på steroider. Lyssna bara på fantastiska albuminledande White Lace and Strange, Dear Dream Maker eller avslutande Open Up Your Eyes från plattan King of the Black Sunrise. Plattan släpptes 1969 och är alldeles fantastisk.

"The first track is a truly great heavy psych tune that sounds like a mix between Blue Cheer, Hendrix, Cream and Day Blindness. Most of the other material sounds exactly like Jimi Hendrix in his Bold As Love/Electric Ladyland period, even the guitar playing sounds totally like Hendrix, and even if it's not original in any sense, the songs are awesome and also there's a psyched-up cover of Red House." -Ananta

127. Silk-Skitzo Blues

Psykedeliskt rockbandet Silk är från Cleveland, Ohio USA. De släppte en platta 1969 innan de snabbt försvann igen. 

"This short-lived Cleveland-based outfit is probably best known for having served as a springboard for singer/guitarist Michael Stanley Gee of future Michael Stanley band fame...Signed to ABC, the band were teamed with producer Szymczyk (who also co-wrote several tracks). The group's 1969 debut "Smooth As Raw Silk" served to showcase the band's broad and versatile repertoire...Sporting some nice twin lead guitar work from Johns and guest guitarist Harry Porter 'Skito Blues' was an excellent rocker." -RDTEN1

128. White Lightning-William

Minneapolis, USA, 1968.

"They started as Litter then morphed into Eagle, then morphed into White Lightning, then morphed into Lightning. I don't know for sure what tracks go with what band and I really don't care. Ask tymeshifter, I am sure he'll know.

The music is psychy hard power trio rock, well mostly. Some tracks are "live" while others are studio. In summation, bet you couldn't wait, this is terrific guitar led hard rock with a touch of psych. Toe tappers reign supreme on this excellent compact disc." -rod45

129. Stampeders-Wild Fire

Kanadensiska Stampeders är knappast jordens mest okända band, men här kommer en go bit med bandet.

"if this was a group that released this 1 LP on a micro/private label, it would fetch big money. This group was very versatile, and on this album they are hitting the ball outta the park. Very psychedelic, and some great sludge acid guitars. The song writing is cohesive throughout, catchy songs, memorable hooks, and unique. Spiritual/natural world topics enhance this Stampeders album, with maybe 1 track I felt was filler." -freqazoidiac

130. Truk-Winter's Coming On

Oklahoma är Truks hemvist. Musiken är amerikansk bluesig hård rock. Tänk Grand Funk eller Free. 

"Fuck me twice if these dudes don't look somewhat dorky for the kind of heavy rock band that they are, but heavy is what they are and they deserve our love for it. Are they in the same league as Grand Funk or Captain Beyond, as other reviewers have opined? Of course not, but few are, so we can't hold that against them. What they are is a group of, I presume, stoners and more that love to play it loud and heavy and get down with some foxy chicks when having time for otherwise." -loudandnasty

131. Morly Grey-Our Time

Aliance Ohio, USA. En mix mellan Banchee, Damnation of Adam Blessing, Bolder Damn, Demian m-fl. 

"Morly Grey's only LP is a pretty damn rare and valuable collector's item nowadays as the original pressing. The album is pretty hard rocking from the start to the finish. But there are clear psychedelic elements all over the place and also some progressive rock influences can be found especially in the lengthy title track." -CooperBolan

"Continuing with the gloom of the previous track, we have "Our Time" which doesn't hide the fact that summer is indeed over, and it's all hopeless and you're probably doomed. All over funky drums and guitars. Oh hey, since we're doomed and all let's make more riffs. And riffs they make a lot off til the song ends and presumably, the doom consumes them." -Kenway

132. Shinki Chen-Farewell to Hypocrites

Shinki Chen från Yokohoma, Japan har bland annat spelat med Flied Egg, Powerhouse och Speed Glue & Shinki. Detta är Farewell to Hypocrites från hans soloplatta som släpptes 1971. 

"If you ask me this only solo album is the best record where you can hear Shinki Chen's playing. These seven songs on this 1971 album are all very impressive and I really can't complain about anything. Well maybe the singing isn't that awesome but apart from that this is a killer album from the first note to the last.

I can't choose any clear highlights because all of the songs are pretty powerful. If you're into guitar driven hard psychedelic rock then this album is made for you. Shinki's guitarwork is strong as always. One of the best heavy psych records to come out from Japan is this one right here." -CooperBolan
